MCpl. Trauner lost his legs and broke 25 bones from his fingers to forearm his left hand in an IED Explosion
on his tour in Afghanistan. Currently, there are not enough funds to support the building of his new "Forever
Home" which requires specialized adaptive equipment. The funds required are upwards of $250,000.00 after
the government/military and the sale of their current home provide what they can for the $750,000.00 home.
Though the government/military are doing everything they can to assist Mike in this effort, the policies that
are in effect, and are slowly being adapted, do not provide enough assistance in meeting their needs and
they must now come up with the $250,000.00 on their own. They have been waiting for over 2 years and
currently, Mike must live in the basement of his current home.
Every penny donated will greatly assist them and their needs. Mike fought for our freedom, our rights, the
freedom and rights of others overseas - now he's fighting his own battle of trying to build a home that will
provide him with mobility and adaptation... NO PERKS, JUST THE BASICS.
HE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO FIGHT OVERSEAS THEN COME HOME AND FIGHT TO GAIN HIS STRENGTH,
FIGHT TO WALK, FIGHT FOR A "NEW NORMAL" AND FIGHT FOR A HOME.
